Sunrise Summit Tour

Duration: 2 Days & 1 Night

Reach the highest peak in Jordan and experience the remote southern desert of Wadi Rum on this adventurous two-day journey. Designed for travelers who value nature, simplicity, and authentic Bedouin hospitality, this tour combines off-road exploration, wild camping, and a sunrise mountain ascent.

Itinerary

Day One – Off-the-Beaten-Path Desert Tour

Depart from Wadi Rum Rest House and travel south by 4x4 into the striking white desert. Enjoy a short walk through the quiet canyon of Um Ghatha before stopping for a traditional lunch in a peaceful desert setting.

In the afternoon, continue exploring open valleys and Wadi Nuqra, where a brief walk leads to panoramic desert views. As evening approaches, set up camp near the base of Jebel Umm Ad Dami. Watch the sunset at Wadi Sabit and enjoy dinner under the open desert sky.

Overnight: Wild camping

Day Two – Sunrise Hike & Wadi Sabit Exploration

Wake before dawn for a guided 1.5–2 hour hike up Jebel Umm Ad Dami, the highest mountain in Jordan. From the summit, witness the sunrise spreading across Wadi Rum and beyond.

After descending and enjoying a simple breakfast at camp, continue by 4x4 through Wadi Sabit. Visit historic sites including a Nabatean graveyard and stop at the scenic viewpoint of Jebel Al Thathaa. After a midday lunch, explore distinctive rock formations and the spring at Jebel Qattar before returning to Wadi Rum Rest House around 4:00 PM.
