Day 1 – Full-Day Desert Tour

Begin your adventure with a full-day 4x4 exploration of Wadi Rum’s Protected Area. Travel through wide desert valleys, visit striking rock formations, and stop at scenic viewpoints offering panoramic landscapes. The tour also includes a walk through the beautiful canyon of Abu Khashaba.

Overnight: Desert Camp or Under the Stars

Day 2 – Jebel Umm Ad Dami Day Hike

After breakfast, drive south by 4x4 toward Jebel Umm Ad Dami, the highest peak in Jordan. The hike starts from a sandy valley at the base of the mountain. The initial ascent is steep and crosses rocky terrain, but it is not a technical climb. Your guide will lead the way throughout the hike.

It takes approximately 1.5–2 hours to reach the summit, where you will enjoy expansive views across Wadi Rum, the mountains of Saudi Arabia, and on clear days, even the Red Sea. After spending time at the top, descend back to the valley floor and enjoy lunch in the shade.

In the afternoon, continue exploring by 4x4, visiting traditional Bedouin cisterns and desert valleys where Bedouins still graze goats and camels. The tour concludes around 4:00 PM at Wadi Rum Rest House.

Add-On: Camel Ride Experience

Enhance your tour with a traditional camel ride across the desert. The one-hour ride begins at Ain Abu Aineh (Lawrence Spring) and continues to the Red Sand Dune at the start of your journey.

1-Hour Camel Ride: 20 JD per person

This optional experience can be added when completing your booking form.

Local Guides : All tours are led by native Bedouin guides from Wadi Rum who speak both English and Arabic.

Best Seasons to Visit : The most comfortable months for this tour are from late September to December and from late February to early May. January can be cold, while summer temperatures are too high for extended hiking.

Family Rates : Children aged 12–16 are eligible for a discounted rate of 45 JD per child, when accompanied by at least two adults. A moderate level of hiking experience is recommended for families joining this tour.
